Mark W. Baeverstad
Mark Baeverstad became an attorney in 1981. After building a successful career, he joined Rothberg in August 2004. His practice concentrated on litigation, having tried over 125 jury trials. He argued before the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Indiana Supreme Court, and the Indiana Court of Appeals.
Mark’s extensive litigation experience in a variety of areas included commercial and business litigation, banking, construction, asset and agricultural valuation, medical malpractice, insurance defense, product liability, estate disputes, and civil rights defense litigation. Mark was involved in a wide range of representation of business owners, physicians, hospitals and health care providers, and insurance companies, including complex litigation matters.
Mark’s significant litigation experience enabled him to provide critical guidance and counsel to businesses, physicians, banks, and other clients in assessing litigation risk as well as negotiation strategy in contested disputes.
Mark was a trial lawyer for nearly 40 years. He was voted by his peers as an Indiana Super Lawyer consecutively from 2007 to 2021. He was AV Preeminent® Rated through Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest peer rating standard given to attorneys who are ranked at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal expertise, communication skills, and ethical standards by their peers. Mark was selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers' "Lawyer of the Year." He was a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, which invites only the top one percent of trial lawyers to join.
Mark played a vital role and was a significant contributor to the success of Rothberg's litigation practice.
